Personal News
After 12 years of waiting, 4 miscarriages and alot of praying….. our little princess finally arrived. We couldn’t wait to see her never mind holding her in our arms. And now that she is here, we are having the time of our lives. She is absolutely a present from God, like her name – Lea !!

Can you believe she almost fit in her fathers hand. Luckily Albert has got big hands, otherwise I would have cracked with this shot.

We compared our hands and came to the conclusion that she has her own hands…. so small, yet so perfect.

And she loves to sleep on Albert’s chest.

Albert is always teasing Lea, lucky for me with my camera in my hand, she started to tease him back.

On a hot day in December we went for a family walk. Lea fell asleep in the bag while carrying her and we just couldn’t bare it to wake her up. So, we just hanged her on the stairs …. (with support at the neck, of course)

And then she started to smile …… the biggest little smile you have ever seen.

On the 1st of March, she was christened. It was a lovely day and she looked like an angel. I am so proud to be her mom.

The Cake and Flowers was done by Bernice (my sister, of course) from Fantasy Flowers. A very big thank you again!!

Bernice en Gerrit is also Lea’s “Peet ouers”, Lucky little lady!!

My parents, Ben and Susan. Lea was just so tired by the time we wanted to take the photos, she slept almost through all of it.

Albert’s Parents, Jan and Theresa de Weerd. Look at my angry face, I want to go to sleep now…

My dress was made by the very famous Viki West…..thank you so much Viki

Lea is lucky enough to still have two of her grand-grandparents, which also joined the occasion. My Grandparents, Marie en Piet.

Albert’s Grandma, Jo. Lea loves to play with grandma’s neck skin, ha ha ha !!!!

At 4 months, Lea was sitting without support. Again, a very proud mother. And everything MUST go to the mouth, even my fingers.

Look at me….. I’m smiling for the thing in front of my mothers face.

And I can lift myself with my strong hands.

At about six months, she started to crawl. Now she’s al over the house, exploring everything!!

Jum, Jum, I had my first taste of chocolate and want more and more and more.

Until I tasted a “Skuimpie” . Now I try everything my mother give me.
